Map of Papua New Guinea

An expedition into the jungles and cultures of Papua New Guinea:

Our unique tribal expeditions give you the rare opportunity to travel where very few have been before, by trekking into remote areas and spending time with indigenous communities.

Follow in the footsteps of great explorers including British TV presenter and adventurer, Bruce Parry

One of the last truly untouched regions on earth, Papua New Guinea is one of the most challenging but most rewarding tribal experiences. This trip offers the chance to leave this century behind and return to a life where metal is barely used. Watch fire dances with men wearing giant white masks dancing amongst flames and live in dense jungle in the Baining Mountains alongside ancient cultures and tantalising history. Experience the people and places of East New Britain & the Duke of York Islands, from trekking in deep jungle to snorkelling from white sand beaches, from ancient rituals and masked fire dances to more recent history with a visit to the “bunker” tunnels built by the Japanese during WWII.

Discover two separate tribes; the Bainings and the Tolais.

From snorkelling the azure waters of the Duke of York Islands to camping by the active Tavurvur Volcano.

Discover the history and culture of this pristine landscape, from sings-sings to WWII “bunker” tunnels.
